They help in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of a wide number of conditions, and a doctor may choose to run a lab test in response to any concerns you have raised during the consultation or for a status check on ongoing health issues.

- A variety of sexual health tests, which include taking swabs, giving blood, providing a urine sample, or having an internal exam.
- A urine sample to test for a wide variety of conditions, including diabetes or kidney diseases.
- Basic Metabolic Panel test to assess kidney function and electrolyte levels.
- A Thyroid Profile to measure hormone levels in the blood that are related to the thyroid.
- Pap Smear tests to screen for cervical cancer in women.
The doctor can also requisition more specialized tests if needed.
